Plantar fasciitis and foot pain.
Heel and arch pain that has not resolved with rest, orthotics, or stretching.
The advice for plantar fasciitis is remarkably consistent and mostly correct. Stretch the calf, roll the arch, replace the shoes, try inserts, be patient. It resolves for a lot of people on exactly that program.
Then there is the other group. Months in, still limping the first ten steps out of bed, having done everything on the list. At that point the useful question is what else is contributing, because the foot rarely works alone. Calf tension, ankle mobility, how the hip is loading that side, and old compensation patterns from an injury on the other leg all show up in the exam.
One patient arrived here fifteen months into a running foot injury having seen many different providers. She was pain-free for twenty-four hours after the first appointment, for the first time in fifteen months, and the injury kept improving from there. Her words are below.
"I've had a running foot injury for 15 months and gone to many different providers. After my first appointment with Dr. Simaan, I was pain-free for 24 hours for the first time in 15 months."
"Have had acupuncture and chiropractic services for Planter Fasciitis, Menopausal Hip Pain, and TMJ Headache. It works!!"
